$\eta_c$ photoproduction at LHC energies
V. P. Goncalves, B. D. Moreira

TL;DR
This paper investigates the production of $ta_c$ mesons in ultra-peripheral proton-proton and proton-lead collisions at LHC energies using NRQCD, providing predictions for distributions and cross sections.
Contribution
It offers the first detailed predictions for $ta_c$ photoproduction in UPCs at LHC energies using NRQCD formalism.
Findings
Predicted rapidity and transverse momentum distributions.
Estimated total cross sections at LHC Run 2 energies.
Analyzed both inclusive and diffractive production modes.
Abstract
In this contribution, we study the inclusive and diffractive photoproduction in and ultra-peripheral collisions (UPC's) at the LHC Run 2 energies. The quarkonium production is studied using nonrelativistic quantum chromodynamics (NRQCD) formalism. We present predictions for rapidity and transverse momentum distributions for the photoproduction and present our estimate for the total cross sections at the Run 2 energies.
