Thinh Kieu

TL;DR
This paper establishes the existence and uniqueness of solutions for both stationary and transient generalized Forchheimer flows in porous media, using semi-discretization techniques for the transient case.
Contribution
It proves the existence and uniqueness of solutions for generalized Forchheimer flow models, extending previous results to more general conditions.
Findings
Existence and uniqueness for stationary solutions
Existence of solutions for transient problems
Application of semi-discretization in time
Abstract
This paper is focused on the generalized Forchheimer flows for slightly compressible fluids. We prove the existence and uniqueness of the differential system for stationary problem. The technique of semi-discretization in time is used to prove the existence of solution for the transient problem.
