TL;DR
This paper emphasizes the role of basis invariants in the two-Higgs-doublet model (2HDM), introducing a technique to relate potential parameters to physical masses and couplings, with applications to CP violation analysis.
Contribution
It presents a novel method to translate 2HDM potential parameters into physical observables using basis invariants, aiding CP violation studies.
Findings
Basis invariants effectively characterize 2HDM properties.
The technique simplifies the analysis of CP-odd invariants.
Application to CP violation enhances understanding of 2HDM phenomenology.
Abstract
We discuss the importance of basis invariants in the general 2HDM and how these relates to masses and couplings. We also present a simple, yet powerful technique to translate parameters of the potential into combinations of masses and couplings of the theory and apply this to CP odd invariants.
