The Non-Abelian Gauge Field Propagator in a Plane Wave Background Field
D.G.C. McKeon

TL;DR
This paper calculates the propagator of a non-Abelian gauge field in a plane wave background, revealing a mass-like term induced by the interaction, using Schwinger’s methods in quantum electrodynamics.
Contribution
It introduces a novel computation of the non-Abelian gauge field propagator in a plane wave background employing Schwinger’s techniques.
Findings
A mass-like term is induced for the gauge field in the long distance limit.
The propagator is explicitly computed in the presence of a plane wave background.
The method extends Schwinger’s approach to non-Abelian gauge theories.
Abstract
Employing methods introduced by Schwinger in quantum electrodynamics, we compute the propagator for a non-Abelian gauge field in a plane wave background field. In the long distance limit a mass-like term for the gauge field is induced by this interaction.
