TL;DR
This study investigates the vortex liquid phase in UCoGe, a p-wave ferromagnetic superconductor, using thermal conductivity and resistivity measurements to reveal a field-induced vortex state and changes in the superconducting order parameter.
Contribution
It provides experimental evidence for a vortex liquid phase and field-induced order parameter change in UCoGe under transverse magnetic fields.
Findings
Identification of a possible vortex liquid phase
Observation of a field-induced change in the superconducting order parameter
S-shaped upper critical field similar to re-entrant superconductivity
Abstract
The upper critical field for field along the b-axis of the p-wave ferromagnetic superconductor UCoGe has a particular S-shape, akin to the re-entrant superconducting phase of URhGe. To explore the evolution of the superconducting phase under this transverse magnetic field, we report the thermal conductivity and resistivity measurements, revealing a possible field-induced vortex liquid phase, and supporting a field-induced change of the superconducting order parameter.
