Pedro Bicudo, Marco cardoso, Nuno Cardoso

TL;DR
This paper investigates the colour field distributions in excited flux tubes between static quark-antiquark pairs in SU(3) gauge theory, providing new insights into gluonic excitations.
Contribution
It introduces detailed measurements of gluonic excitation profiles using a comprehensive set of operators, advancing understanding of flux tube structure in QCD.
Findings
First detailed profiles of excited flux tubes in SU(3)
Identification of specific gluonic excitation patterns
Enhanced understanding of flux tube dynamics
Abstract
We present colour field density profiles for some of the first SU(3) gluonic excitations of the flux tube in the presence of a static quark-antiquark pair. The results are obtained from a large set of gluonic operators.
