Naoya Tajima, Takao Morinari

TL;DR
This study investigates how tilting of Dirac cones influences interlayer magnetoresistance in -(BEDT-TTF)$_2$I$_3$, revealing its proximity to a type-II Dirac semimetal through experimental and theoretical analysis.
Contribution
It provides the first analysis of Dirac cone tilting effects on magnetoresistance in this material, linking experimental data with theoretical modeling.
Findings
System is close to a type-II Dirac semimetal
Experimental data fits theoretical formula well
Dirac cone tilting significantly affects magnetoresistance
Abstract
We report the effect of Dirac cone tilting on interlayer magnetoresistance in \alpha-(BEDT-TTF)I, which is a Dirac semimetal under pressure. Fitting of the experimental data by the theoretical formula suggests that the system is close to a type-II Dirac semimetal.
