The Cauchy problem for a degenerate hyperbolic equation of the second kind
Tuhtasin Ergashev

TL;DR
This paper solves the Cauchy problem for a specific degenerate hyperbolic equation using the Riemann method, involving relations for confluent hypergeometric functions of multiple variables.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach to solving a degenerate hyperbolic equation by applying the Riemann method with special functions.
Findings
Unique solution of the Cauchy problem established
Relations for confluent hypergeometric functions derived
Method applicable to similar degenerate equations
Abstract
In this article the unique solution of the Cauchy problem is founded by the Riemann method. Some relations for given here confluent hypergeometric functions of two and three variables are used.
