M.M.Rahmatullaev, M.A.Rasulova

TL;DR
This paper proves the existence of at least one periodic Gibbs measure for the Potts-SOS model on a Cayley tree under certain conditions, contributing to understanding phase behavior in statistical physics models.
Contribution
It establishes the existence of non translation-invariant Gibbs measures for the Potts-SOS model on Cayley trees, which was previously unconfirmed.
Findings
Existence of periodic Gibbs measures proved
Conditions for non translation-invariance identified
Advances understanding of phase structures in the model
