TL;DR
This study searches for rare $D$ meson decays involving hadrons and electron-positron pairs using BESIII data, setting new upper limits that improve sensitivity over previous efforts.
Contribution
First search for $D o h(h') e^+ e^-$ decays with BESIII data, establishing the most stringent upper limits to date.
Findings
No significant signals observed.
Upper limits on branching fractions at 90% confidence level.
Sensitivity reaches the level of 10^{-5} to 10^{-6}.
Abstract
We search for rare decays of mesons to hadrons accompany with an electron-positron pair (h(h')), using an collision sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fb collected with the BESIII detector at = 3.773 GeV. No significant signals are observed, and the corresponding upper limits on the branching fractions at the confidence level are determined. The sensitivities of the results are at the level of , providing a large improvement over previous searches.
