R-Matrix parametrization for {\gamma} decays to unbound states
Michael Munch

TL;DR
This paper introduces a new R-matrix based framework to describe gamma decays to unbound nuclear states, filling a gap in existing nuclear reaction theories.
Contribution
It extends R-matrix theory to specifically model gamma decays to unbound states, which has not been clearly addressed before.
Findings
Provides a theoretical description for gamma decays to unbound states
Fills a gap in nuclear reaction modeling literature
Lays groundwork for future experimental validation
Abstract
R-matrix theory was originally developed to describe nuclear reactions. The framework was further extended to describe {\beta} decay to unbound states. However, at the time writing, no clear description of {\gamma} decays to unbound states exist. Such a description will be presented in this note.
