J.-P. Dedonder, B. Loiseau, S. Wycech

TL;DR
This paper investigates the mechanisms behind $J/$ decays into $p ̄ p$ with photon or meson emission, explaining observed threshold enhancements through direct emission and final state interactions, including nucleon-antinucleon potentials and resonances.
Contribution
It introduces detailed models for $J/$ decays involving photon and meson emission, incorporating final state interactions and resonance effects to explain experimental threshold enhancements.
Findings
Reproduces photon and meson emission rates semi-quantitatively.
Explains $p ̄ p$ threshold enhancement via direct emission and final state interactions.
Identifies the role of $N(2050)\, 3/2^-$ resonance in $J/ ightarrow p ̄ p$ decays.
Abstract
The measurements of the decays by the BES Collaboration indicate an enhancement at the threshold which, however, is not present in the J/ decays into and into . Here, two processes for describing the decays where are presented in some detail and the cases are briefly touched on. The first one, applied not only to the radiative decay to reproduce the threshold peak but also to the decay channel to improve the description of the spectrum, postulates a direct emission of the boson before the baryon pair is formed. The second process assumes that the boson is emitted from the baryon pair following the decay and includes for the…
