A Simple Expression for Heavy to Light Meson Semileptonic Decays Form Factors
T. N. Pham

TL;DR
This paper proposes a simple analytical expression for heavy-to-light meson semileptonic decay form factors, which aligns well with experimental and lattice data, highlighting SU(3) symmetry breaking effects.
Contribution
The paper introduces a straightforward formula for heavy-light meson decay form factors based on a Born term approach, effectively describing the observed $q^2$-dependence.
Findings
The proposed form factors match experimental data across the entire $q^2$ range.
Good agreement with lattice simulations for $D o K$ decays.
Evidence of SU(3) breaking effects in the form factors.
Abstract
Like the two-photon and two-gluon decays of the -wave and charmonium state for which the Born term produces a very simple decgays amplitude in terms of an effective Lagrangian with two-quark local operator, the Born term for the processes and , could also produce the and meson semileptonic decays with the light meson in the final state. In this approach to heavy-light meson form factors with the , K meson treated as Goldstone boson, a simple expression is found for the decays form factors, given as~: , with for form factors, and for form factor. The purpose of this paper is to show that this expression for the form factors could describe rather…
