On Gamov states of $\Sigma^+$ hyperons
Slawomir Wycech, Kristian Piscicchia

TL;DR
This paper discusses the formation of Gamov states of $\Sigma^+ ext{ hyperons}$ in nuclear capture reactions, explaining experimental observations and their implications for hyperon-nucleus interactions.
Contribution
It provides a theoretical description of Gamov states of $\Sigma^+ ext{ hyperons}$ and explores their role in nuclear capture processes, linking experimental data to state formation.
Findings
Evidence of low $\Sigma^+ ext{ momentum component}$ linked to Gamov states
Interpretation of experimental data as hyperons trapped in Coulomb fields
Implications for hyperon-nucleus interaction models
Abstract
Both the FINUDA and AMADEUS experiments evidenced a low momentum component when investigating pairs produced in K nuclear capture. This component is interpreted as a consequence of Gamov state formation, with the hyperon trapped in the Coulomb field of the residual nucleus. Description of such states and their participation in the capture reaction is presented. Some consequences are indicated.
