Calculation of survival probabilities for cells exposed to high ion fluences
Eugene Surdutovich, Andrey V. Solov'yov

TL;DR
This paper develops a multiscale methodology to calculate cell survival probabilities considering ion path interference, applicable to various targets and ion energies, enhancing understanding of radiation damage.
Contribution
It introduces a novel multiscale approach for calculating survival curves that accounts for ion path interference, applicable across different target types and ion energy levels.
Findings
Shouldered survival curves are obtained for different targets.
The method is effective for both high and low linear energy transfer values.
The approach improves accuracy in modeling radiation damage.
Abstract
A methodology of calculations of survival curves with an account for ion paths interference is developed using the multiscale approach to the physics of radiation damage with ions. The method is applied to different targets and shouldered survival curves are obtained. The recipe is designed for both high and low values of linear energy transfer.
