TL;DR
This paper reports the discovery of two massive eccentric heartbeat binary systems, $ au$ Ori and $ au$ Lib, observed with BRITE data, highlighting their orbital characteristics and the absence of tidally excited oscillations.
Contribution
The study introduces two newly identified massive heartbeat binaries, providing detailed observational data and analysis of their orbital and stellar properties.
Findings
$ au$ Lib shows shallow eclipses that will soon disappear due to apsidal motion.
No tidally excited oscillations detected in either system.
Both systems exhibit heartbeat effects near periastron.
Abstract
We report the discovery of two massive eccentric systems with BRITE data, Ori and Lib, showing heartbeat effects close to the periastron passage. Lib exhibits shallow eclipses that will soon vanish due to the apsidal motion in the system. In neither system, tidally excited oscillations were detected.
