Using abstract elastic membranes to learn about quantum measurements
Massimiliano Sassoli de Bianchi

TL;DR
This paper explains how abstract elastic membranes can model quantum measurements, offering insights into the measurement problem through an accessible popular science perspective.
Contribution
It presents a simplified, accessible explanation of a complex quantum formalism involving elastic membranes as a potential solution to the measurement problem.
Findings
Provides an intuitive analogy for quantum measurements
Connects elastic membrane models to quantum formalism
Offers a popular science interpretation of complex quantum concepts
Abstract
We provide an accessible popular science version of a research article published by Diederik Aerts and the author [Ann. Phys. 351 (2014) 975--1025, arXiv:1404.2429], where an extended version of the quantum formalism was proposed as a possible solution to the measurement problem.
