Conditions for the custodial symmetry in multi-Higgs-doublet models
M. Aa. Solberg

TL;DR
This paper establishes basis-independent criteria for custodial symmetry in multi-Higgs-doublet models with more than two doublets, providing a foundation for analyzing symmetry properties in these models.
Contribution
It derives necessary and sufficient conditions for custodial symmetry in N-Higgs-doublet models, extending previous work beyond the two-doublet case.
Findings
Conditions are basis-independent and applicable for N > 2.
Applied the conditions to specific 3HDM examples.
Provides a framework for symmetry analysis in multi-Higgs models.
Abstract
We derive basis-independent, necessary and sufficient conditions for the custodial symmetry in N-Higgs-doublet models (NHDM) for N > 2, and apply them on some 3HDM examples.
