TL;DR
This paper uses an effective Lagrangian approach to analyze the strong decays, coupling constants, and branching ratios of various charmed mesons and their spin partners, providing predictions and assignments for newly observed states.
Contribution
It offers a detailed theoretical study of charm meson decays, proposing possible quantum number assignments for the $D^{*}_{2}(3000)$ and predicting properties of unobserved states.
Findings
$D^{*}_{2}(3000)$ likely to be $1F(2^{+})$ or $2P(2^{+})$ state
Predicted decay widths and branching ratios for unobserved charm mesons
Calculated coupling constants for strong decay processes
Abstract
Using the effective Lagrangian approach, we examine the recently observed charm states , , , and their spin partners , and with states , , , and , , respectively. We study their two body strong decays, coupling constants and branching ratios with the emission of light pseudo-scalar mesons . We also analyze the newly observed charm state and suggest it to be either or state and justify one of them to be the most favorable assignment for . We study the partial and the total decay width of unobserved states , $D_{s}(1…
