Piecewise constant reconstruction of damaged color images
Riccardo Cristoferi, Irene Fonseca

TL;DR
This paper introduces a variational model for reconstructing damaged color images, focusing on cases with finitely many admissible colors, and discusses the existence and regularity of solutions.
Contribution
It presents a new variational approach for damaged color image reconstruction with finite color constraints, including existence and regularity results.
Findings
Existence of minimizers for the proposed model
Regularity properties of the solutions
Applicability to images with finite color sets
Abstract
A variational model for reconstruction of damaged color images is studied, in particular in the case where only finitely many colors are admissible for the reconstructed image. An existence result and regularity properties of minimizers are presented.
