TL;DR
This paper introduces a model extending the Standard Model with an additional $SU(2)_D$ gauge symmetry, resulting in an automatic dark $U(1)$ symmetry with potential implications for dark matter physics.
Contribution
It proposes a novel extension of the Standard Model with an extra $SU(2)_D$ gauge factor and fermion bidoublets, leading to an automatic dark $U(1)$ symmetry.
Findings
Model naturally includes a dark $U(1)$ symmetry.
Implications for dark matter phenomenology are discussed.
Possible origins of the model are explored.
Abstract
An extra gauge factor is added to the well-known left-right extension of the standard model (SM) of quarks and leptons. Under , two fermion bidoublets and are assumed. The resulting model has an automatic dark symmetry, in the same way that the SM has automatic baryon and lepton symmetries. Phenomenological implications are discussed, as well as the possible origin of this proposal.
