Solving the fermionic mass hierarchy of the standard model
Gauhar Abbas

TL;DR
This paper proposes an extended standard model with scalar fields, vector-like fermions, and a strong interaction sector to explain the fermionic mass hierarchy and quark mixing.
Contribution
It introduces a novel extension of the standard model that simultaneously addresses fermionic mass hierarchy and quark mixing using new scalar and fermionic sectors.
Findings
A consistent framework for fermionic mass hierarchy
Explanation of quark-mixing within the extended model
UV completion with vector-like fermions and strong interactions
Abstract
We show that a simultaneous explanation for fermionic mass hierarchy among and within the fermionic families, quark-mixing, can be obtained in an extension of the standard model, with real singlet scalar fields, which is UV completed by vector-like fermions and a strongly interacting sector.
