TL;DR
This paper explores a novel double Dalitz plot analysis method for measuring the CKM angle gamma using B meson decays, enhancing sensitivity by combining existing approaches and expanding the formalism.
Contribution
It introduces a combined analysis technique for B decays that improves gamma sensitivity and generalizes the formalism to include any D decay mode.
Findings
Potential sensitivity benefits demonstrated through recent experimental data
Formalism extended to include all D decay modes
Comparison with previous methods shows improved measurement prospects
Abstract
Two of the most powerful methods currently used to determine the angle of the CKM Unitarity Triangle exploit , decays and , , decays. It is possible to combine the strengths of both approaches in a "double Dalitz plot" analysis of , decays. The potential sensitivity of such an analysis is investigated in the light of recently published experimental information on the decay. The formalism is also expanded, compared to previous discussions in the literature, to allow with any subsequent decay to be included.
