TL;DR
This paper reports the first observation of gamma-ray emissions from the $sd$-shell hypernucleus $ m^{19}_{\Lambda}F$, determining its level structure and energy spacings, and comparing results with theoretical models.
Contribution
First measurement of the level structure and gamma-ray transitions in the $sd$-shell hypernucleus $ m^{19}_{\Lambda}F$, expanding hypernuclear spectroscopy into new shell regions.
Findings
Measured the ground state doublet spacing as 315.5 keV.
Observed three gamma-ray peaks corresponding to specific transitions.
Found that the ground state doublet spacing agrees with theoretical models.
Abstract
We report on the first observation of rays emitted from an -shell hypernucleus, . The energy spacing between the ground state doublet, and states, of is determined to be by measuring the -ray energy from the transition. In addition, three -ray peaks were observed and assigned as , , and transitions. The excitation energies of the and states are determined to be and , respectively. It is found that the ground state doublet spacing is well described by theoretical models based on existing -…
