Strong decays of the 1P and 2D doubly charmed states
Li-Ye Xiao, Qi-Fang L\"u, Shi-Lin Zhu

TL;DR
This paper systematically investigates the strong decay properties of low-lying 1P and 2D doubly charmed baryons using the $^3P_0$ model, predicting decay widths and dominant decay modes for various states.
Contribution
It provides the first comprehensive predictions of decay widths and modes for 1P and 2D doubly charmed baryons, guiding future experimental searches.
Findings
1P ρ mode excitations are narrow states with specific J^P values.
Certain 1P λ mode states have widths around 150 MeV and decay into ground states.
2D states decay mainly via meson emission, with widths sensitive to masses.
Abstract
We perform a systematical investigation of the strong decay properties of the low-lying - and -wave doubly charmed baryons with the quark pair creation model. The main predictions include: (i) in the and family, the mode excitations with and should be the fairly narrow states. (ii) For the mode excitations, and have a width of MeV, and mainly decay into the ground state. Meanwhile, and are the narrow states with a width of MeV, and mainly decay into the ground state with . (iii) The states mainly decay via emitting a heavy-light meson if their masses are above the threshold of …
