Hydrodynamic limit of boundary driven exclusion processes with nonreversible boundary dynamics
Cl\'ement Erignoux

TL;DR
This paper derives the hydrodynamic limit for one-dimensional boundary-driven exclusion processes with non-reversible boundary dynamics using duality techniques, overcoming limitations of the classical entropy method.
Contribution
It introduces a duality-based approach to analyze hydrodynamic limits in non-reversible boundary conditions, expanding beyond traditional entropy methods.
Findings
Hydrodynamic limit established for non-reversible boundary dynamics.
Duality techniques effectively replace entropy methods in this context.
Results applicable to a range of boundary-driven exclusion processes.
Abstract
Using duality techniques, we derive the hydrodynamic limit for one-dimensional, boundary-driven, symmetric exclusion processes with different types of non-reversible dynamics at the boundary, for which the classical entropy method fails.
