TL;DR
This paper reports the first search for specific $B_c^+$ meson decays into two charm mesons using LHCb data, setting limits on twelve decay modes due to no observed signals.
Contribution
It is the first experimental search for these $B_c^+$ decay modes, providing new limits and insights into charm meson decay channels.
Findings
No evidence for the targeted $B_c^+$ decays was observed.
Limits were set on twelve different $B_c^+$ decay modes.
The analysis used 3.0 fb$^{-1}$ of LHCb data at 7 and 8 TeV.
Abstract
A search for decays of mesons to two charm mesons is performed for the first time using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb, collected by the LHCb experiment in collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. The decays considered are and , which are normalised to high-yield decays. No evidence for a signal is found and limits are set on twelve decay modes.
