A note on the Laplace transform and the variable-order differential operators
J. Vanterler da C. Sousa, E. Capelas de Oliveira

TL;DR
This paper examines the properties of variable-order differential operators defined via the inverse Laplace transform and questions previous results in the literature.
Contribution
It provides a critical analysis of the variable-order differential operators introduced through the inverse Laplace transform and challenges existing findings.
Findings
Questions the validity of prior results by Yang and Tenreiro Machado
Clarifies properties of variable-order differential operators
Highlights implications for mathematical analysis of such operators
Abstract
In this short note, using the variable-order differential operator introduced by means of the inverse Laplace transform \cite{coimbra}, we questioned the result obtained by Yang and Tenreiro Machado \cite{yang}.
