TL;DR
This paper demonstrates the effectiveness of the entropy function formalism in calculating the entropy of extremal charged dilaton black holes, including corrections from four-derivative terms.
Contribution
It applies the entropy function formalism to dilaton black holes and derives the four-derivative corrections to their entropy.
Findings
Entropy function formalism accurately computes black hole entropy.
Four-derivative corrections modify the entropy value.
Validation of the formalism for dilaton black holes.
Abstract
It has been shown that the entropy function formalism is an efficient way to calculate the entropy of black holes in string theory. We check this formalism for the extremal charged dilaton black hole. We find the general four-derivative correction on the black hole entropy from the value of the entropy function at its extremum point.
