The invariant and helicity amplitudes in the transitions $\Lambda_b\to\Lambda^\ast(\frac12^\pm,\frac32^\pm)+J/\psi$
Mikhail A. Ivanov

TL;DR
This paper calculates invariant and helicity amplitudes for $Lambda_b$ decays to excited $Lambda$ states plus $J/$ using a covariant quark model, aiding the identification of hidden charm pentaquarks and exploring potential New Physics effects.
Contribution
It provides detailed amplitude calculations for $Lambda_b$ transitions to various $Lambda^{( ext{ast})}$ states and extends the analysis to potential New Physics contributions in $ar{B}^0$ decays.
Findings
Amplitudes for $Lambda_b$ to $Lambda^{( ext{ast})} J/$ transitions are computed.
Transition form factors for $ar{B}^0 o D^{( ext{ast})}$ are obtained across the full $q^2$ range.
Implications for identifying hidden charm pentaquarks and New Physics effects are discussed.
Abstract
We present results for the invariant and helicity amplitudes in the transitions where the are -type ground and excited states with quantum numbers . The calculations are performed in the framework of a covariant confined quark model. This analysis is important for the identification of the hidden charm pentaquark states and which were discovered by the LHCb Coll. We also discuss the possible New Physics effects in the exclusive decays . We extend the Standard Model by taking into account right-handed vector (axial), left- and right-handed (pseudo)scalar, and tensor current contributions. The transition form factors are calculated in the full kinematic range by…
