TL;DR
This paper examines the challenges in modeling fission hindrance in odd-A nuclei and high-K isomers in superheavy elements, proposing an instanton formalism approach to address theoretical inconsistencies.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach based on the instanton formalism to improve understanding of fission hindrance in superheavy nuclei, highlighting limitations of current theories.
Findings
Initial results demonstrate the potential of the instanton formalism
Simplified macro-micro model illustrates key features of the approach
Addresses inconsistencies in existing fission theories
Abstract
After shortly analyzing data relevant to fission hindrance of odd-A nuclei and high- isomers in superheavy (SH) region we point out the inconsistency of current fission theory and propose an approach based on the instanton formalism. A few results of this method, simplified by replacing selfconsistency by elements of the macro-micro model, are given to illustrate its features.
