Canisius Bernard

TL;DR
This paper analytically investigates the complex frequencies of charged massive scalar fields around near-extremal Kerr-Sen black holes, deriving a simple expression consistent with previous results for related black hole solutions.
Contribution
It provides an analytical expression for the mode frequencies of charged scalar fields in near-extremal Kerr-Sen black holes, extending understanding of super-radiant instabilities.
Findings
Derived a simple ratio for mode frequencies in the eikonal large-mass regime.
Confirmed consistency with previous results for Kerr-Newman and Kerr black holes.
Enhanced understanding of super-radiance phenomena in Kerr-Sen black holes.
Abstract
It is reported that Kerr-Newman and Kerr-Sen black holes are unstable to perturbations of charged massive scalar field. In this paper, we study analytically the complex frequencies which characterize charged massive scalar fields in a near-extremal Kerr-Sen black hole. For near-extremal Kerr-Sen black holes and for charged massive scalar fields in the eikonal large-mass regime, where is the mass of the black hole, and is the mass of the charged scalar field, we have obtained a simple expression for the dimensionless ratio , where and are, respectively, the imaginary and real parts of the frequency of the modes, and is the critical frequency for the onset of super-radiance. We have also found our expression is consistent with the result of Hod [Phys. Rev. D 94, 044036…
