N. Dimakis, Alex Giacomini, Andronikos Paliathanasis

TL;DR
This paper introduces new analytical black string/ring solutions in four-dimensional vacuum f(R)-gravity, revealing novel spacetime structures supported by the modified gravity theory and exploring their thermodynamic properties.
Contribution
It presents the first known vacuum black string/ring solutions in four-dimensional f(R)-gravity with axisymmetry, expanding the landscape of exact solutions in modified gravity.
Findings
Existence of non-trivial black string/ring solutions in vacuum f(R)-gravity.
Solutions are supported for specific parameter ranges in power law f(R) models.
Basic thermodynamic quantities of these solutions are briefly analyzed.
Abstract
A new family of analytical solutions in a four dimensional static spacetime is presented for -gravity. In contrast to General Relativity, we find that a non trivial black string/ring solution is supported in vacuum power law -gravity for appropriate values of the parameters characterizing the model and when axisymmetry is introduced in the line element. For the aforementioned solution, we perform a brief investigation over its basic thermodynamic quantities.
