Relativistic Point Particles and Classical Elastic Strings
Calin Galeriu

TL;DR
This paper explores the mathematical relationship between relativistic point particles and classical elastic strings by comparing their Lagrangians, extending prior work to deepen understanding of their isomorphism.
Contribution
It advances previous research by providing a detailed comparison of the Lagrangians, highlighting the isomorphism between the two physical systems.
Findings
Established the isomorphism between relativistic particles and elastic strings
Compared Lagrangians to demonstrate the mathematical correspondence
Extended previous theoretical work on the subject
Abstract
We extend the previous work of Olivier Costa de Beauregard regarding the isomorphism between the equation describing the motion of relativistic point particles and the equation describing the static equilibrium of classical elastic strings, by comparing the Lagrangians of these two systems.
