TL;DR
This paper studies exclusive vector meson photoproduction with a leading baryon in proton-proton and proton-nucleus collisions at RHIC and LHC, using the color dipole formalism to predict cross sections and explore QCD nonlinear effects.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed analysis of vector meson production with leading baryons, including $ ho$, $ ext{phi}$, and $J/ ext{Psi}$, considering nonlinear QCD effects and comparing different baryon states.
Findings
The $V + ext{Delta}$ cross section is about 30% of the $V + n$ cross section.
Predictions suggest future experiments can feasibly analyze these processes.
Results highlight the potential of such measurements to study leading particle production.
Abstract
Exclusive vector meson photoproduction associated with a leading baryon () in and collisions at RHIC and LHC energies is investigated using the color dipole formalism and taking into account nonlinear effects in the QCD dynamics. In particular, we compute the cross sections for , and production together with a and compare the predictions with those obtained for a leading neutron. Our results show that the cross section is almost 30 % of the one. Our results also show that a future experimental analysis of these processes is, in principle, feasible and can be useful to study leading particle production.
