TL;DR
This paper evaluates the accuracy of the time dependent superfluid local density approximation (TDSLDA) in modeling fission dynamics, focusing on 240Pu, and discusses issues related to time evolution and fragment properties.
Contribution
It provides an assessment of TDSLDA's accuracy in simulating induced fission and addresses key methodological issues.
Findings
TDSLDA effectively models fission dynamics of 240Pu.
Identifies challenges in time evolution accuracy.
Analyzes properties of fission fragments.
Abstract
We discuss properties of the method based on time dependent superfluid local density approximation (TDSLDA) within an application to induced fission of 240Pu and surrounding nuclei. Various issues related to accuracy of time evolution and the determination of the properties of fission fragments are discussed.
