Martin Beneke, Andreas Maier, Thomas Rauh, Pedro Ruiz-Femen\'ia

TL;DR
This paper calculates electroweak and non-resonant corrections at NNLO for top-pair production near threshold, improving the precision of top-quark mass measurements from electron-positron collision data.
Contribution
It provides the first complete NNLO calculation of electroweak and non-resonant effects for this process, refining theoretical predictions.
Findings
Electroweak and non-resonant corrections are significant at NNLO.
The corrections reduce the theoretical uncertainty in top-quark mass extraction.
Estimated theory uncertainty on the top-quark mass is improved.
Abstract
The top-quark mass can be determined with very high precision from a scan of the total cross section near the top-pair production threshold. We present the full calculation of electroweak and non-resonant corrections to this process at NNLO. We discuss the size of the new contributions and estimate the theory uncertainty on the top-quark mass in the PS mass scheme.
