Inclusive production of vector quarkonia at the LHC
Anna Cisek, Antoni Szczurek

TL;DR
This paper models prompt $J/\psi$ meson production at the LHC using NRQCD k$_t$-factorization with different gluon distributions, comparing results with experimental data across multiple energies.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed NRQCD k$_t$-factorization approach incorporating feed-down effects and compares different unintegrated gluon distributions with experimental data.
Findings
Good agreement with ATLAS, ALICE, and LHCb data
Cross section ratios for $\chi_{c2}/\chi_{c1}$ match predictions
Differential distributions are accurately modeled
Abstract
We discuss prompt production of mesons in proton-proton collisions at the LHC within NRQCD k-factorization approach using Kimber-Martin-Ryskin (KMR) and Kutak-Stasto (KS) unintegrated gluon distribution (UGDF). We include both direct color-singlet production as well as a feed-down from and . The corresponding matrix elements for , and include parameters of the nonrelativistic space wave functions of the quarkonia at , which are taken from potential models from the literature. We calculate the ratio of the corresponding cross sections for . We compare our results with ATLAS experimental data. Differential distributions in rapidity and transverse momentum of and are calculated and compared to experimental data of the…
