Quantized open FRW cosmology from Yang-Mills matrix models
Harold C. Steinacker

TL;DR
This paper introduces matrix model solutions that describe a quantized, homogeneous, and isotropic open universe with a resolved Big Bang, leading to a late-time linear coasting cosmology close to observations.
Contribution
It provides new solutions within IKKT-type matrix models that model a quantized open FRW universe with a resolved Big Bang and late-time linear expansion.
Findings
A quantized open FRW cosmology with $k=-1$ is constructed.
The model predicts a late-time linear coasting universe $a(t) \,\propto\, t$.
The solution features two chiral sheets connected in a pre-big bang era.
Abstract
We present simple solutions of IKKT-type matrix models describing a quantized homogeneous and isotropic cosmology with , finite density of microstates and a resolved Big Bang. At late times, a linear coasting cosmology is obtained, which is remarkably close to observation. The solution consists of two sheets with opposite intrinsic chiralities, which are connected in a Euclidean pre-big bang era.
