The LHeC Project: e-Ring Revisited
Umit Kaya, Bora Ketenoglu, Saleh Sultansoy

TL;DR
The paper discusses the proposal of a 9 km e-ring for the LHeC project, capable of achieving high luminosity with manageable synchrotron radiation losses, enhancing the collider's QCD exploration capabilities.
Contribution
It revisits the design of an e-ring for the LHeC, demonstrating feasibility of high luminosity with specific technical parameters.
Findings
Achievable luminosity of 10^33 cm^-2s^-1
Synchrotron radiation losses estimated at 90 MW
Design feasibility for the proposed e-ring
Abstract
Construction of a new 9 km long e-ring tangential to the LHC has been proposed as an option for QCD-Explorer stage of the LHeC. It is shown that L = 10^33 cm^-2s^-1 can be achieved with 90 MW synchrotron radiation losses.
