Capacity Results on Multiple-Input Single-Output Wireless Optical Channels
Stefan M. Moser, Ligong Wang, Mich\`ele Wigger

TL;DR
This paper establishes bounds and asymptotic capacity results for MISO free-space optical channels under intensity constraints, providing insights into capacity behavior at extreme SNR levels.
Contribution
It derives new upper and lower bounds on capacity and characterizes asymptotic capacity at high and low SNR for optical channels with intensity constraints.
Findings
Asymptotic capacity at high SNR is specified.
Exact capacity slope at low SNR is determined.
Bounds improve understanding of optical channel limits.
Abstract
This paper derives upper and lower bounds on the capacity of the multiple-input single-output free-space optical intensity channel with signal-independent additive Gaussian noise subject to both an average-intensity and a peak-intensity constraint. In the limit where the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) tends to infinity, the asymptotic capacity is specified, while in the limit where the SNR tends to zero, the exact slope of the capacity is also given.
