Abstract
We study a certain class of positive linear functionals on for which if . It turns out that translations on , where , which are induced by the action of the multiplicative semigroup on itself, plays an intrinsic role in the study of . We also deal with an analogue of of positive linear functionals on partaining to the action of the additive semigroup on itself. In particular, we give some expressions of maximal possible values of and for a given function respectively.
