Rahul Chhabra, Arvind Kumar

TL;DR
This paper investigates how the masses and decay widths of scalar D mesons change in strange hadronic matter at finite temperature using QCD sum rules and chiral models, providing insights relevant for future experiments like CBM and PANDA.
Contribution
It presents a novel combined approach using QCD sum rules and chiral SU(3) model to evaluate in-medium properties of scalar D mesons, including their decay widths, in strange hadronic matter.
Findings
Masses of scalar D mesons decrease in medium.
Decay widths of D mesons are modified by medium effects.
Results are relevant for future experimental studies at FAIR.
Abstract
Masses and decay constants of scalar and mesons in isospin asymmetric strange hadronic matter at finite temperature are evaluated using QCD sum rules and chiral SU(3) model. In-medium light quark condensates, and , the strange quark condensates, , and the gluon condensates, , needed in QCD sum rule calculations are evaluated using chiral SU(3) model. As an application, we calculate the in-medium partial decay width of scalar () meson decaying to + (+) pseudoscalar mesons using model. The medium effects in their decay widths are assimilated through the modification in the masses of these mesons. These…
