Yan Peng, Jianjun Fang, Shuangxi Yi, Guohua Liu

TL;DR
This paper investigates the thermodynamics of flat space and boson star systems within a scalar reflecting box, revealing similarities to holographic transitions and suggesting possible holographic dualities in quasi-local systems.
Contribution
It introduces a study of quasi-local thermodynamics in flat space and boson star systems with a scalar box, highlighting parallels with holographic phase transitions.
Findings
Model parameters influence transition behaviors similarly to holographic systems.
Derived a relation between thermodynamic quantities, $ar{} hickapprox 2 ilde{}$, consistent with holographic theories.
Identified second order characteristic exponents matching those in holographic superconductor models.
Abstract
We study thermodynamics of flat space/boson star systems enclosed in a scalar reflecting box with Stckelberg mechanism. We also disclose effects of model parameters on transitions and the properties appear to be qualitatively the same as those in holographic Stckelberg transitions. Moreover, we obtain a relation and the second order characteristic exponent, which also hold in holographic superconductor theories. The similarity between quasi-local thermodynamic transitions and holographic transitions provides additional evidences that holographic theories may also exist in the quasi-local space.
