On the Large $R$-charge Expansion in ${\mathcal N} = 2$ Superconformal Field Theories
Simeon Hellerman, Shunsuke Maeda

TL;DR
This paper investigates the asymptotic behavior of two-point functions of Coulomb branch operators with large R-charge in 4D ${ m extbf{N}}=2$ superconformal field theories, revealing universal expansion patterns and confirming predictions with localization results.
Contribution
It introduces a universal asymptotic expansion for large R-charge two-point functions and validates it against exact localization results in Lagrangian theories.
Findings
Two-point functions grow factorially with R-charge.
The asymptotic expansion involves a universal constant and a power-law correction.
Predictions match exact localization results for Lagrangian SCFTs.
Abstract
In this note we study two point functions of Coulomb branch chiral ring elements with large -charge, in quantum field theories with superconformal symmetry in four spacetime dimensions. Focusing on the case of one-dimensional Coulomb branch, we use the effective-field-theoretic methods of arXiv:1706.05743, to estimate the two-point function in the limit where the operator insertion On has large total -charge . We show that has a nontrivial but universal asymptotic expansion at large , of the form where approaches a…
