TL;DR
This paper explores various theoretical scenarios for long-lived particles at the LHC, highlighting potential signatures, motivations from dark matter and hierarchy problem, and discussing trigger strategies for detection.
Contribution
It introduces new possible long-lived particle signatures at the LHC motivated by dark matter and hierarchy problem, emphasizing the need for dedicated searches and trigger strategies.
Findings
Identification of unexplored long-lived particle signatures
Motivations from dark matter and hierarchy problem
Discussion on trigger strategies for detection
Abstract
I discuss various scenarios for long-lived particles at the LHC that can have spectacular signatures, not all of which have been searched for. I take motivation from dark matter and the hierarchy problem, as well as from finding novel signatures. There is also a brief discussion of triggers.
