Amir Tasbihi, Frank R. Kschischang

TL;DR
This paper introduces a successive detection method for the fourth dimension in a four-dimensional Stokes-space receiver, enhancing information rate with minimal additional electrical computations.
Contribution
It proposes a novel successive detection scheme for the fourth dimension in Stokes-space direct detection, improving data throughput efficiently.
Findings
Increased information rate with minimal computational overhead
Effective detection scheme for the fourth dimension in Stokes-space systems
Potential for higher data transmission efficiency
Abstract
We present a successive detection scheme for the fourth dimension in a four-dimensional Stokes-space direct detection receiver. At the expense of a small number of electrical-domain computations, the additional information rate can be substantial.
