TL;DR
This paper investigates the bi-free multiplicative convolution and $S$-transform for pairs of random variables, deriving explicit formulas, analyzing conditions for Dykema's twisted multiplicative equation, and establishing subordination relations.
Contribution
It provides explicit expressions for bi-free multiplicative convolution, characterizes when Dykema's equation holds, and proves subordination for pairs with factoring two-band moments.
Findings
Explicit formula for bi-free multiplicative convolution.
Characterization of when $S$-transforms satisfy Dykema's equation.
Subordination of $ ext{Psi}$-transforms for pairs with factoring two-band moments.
Abstract
In this paper, we study the partial bi-free -transform of a pair of random variables, and the -transform of the matrix-valued random variable associated with when restricted to upper triangular matrices. We first derive an explicit expression of bi-free multiplicative convolution (of probability measures on the bi-unit-sphere of , or on in ) from a subordination equation for bi-free multiplicative convolution. We then show that, when and are bi-free, the -transforms of , satisfy Dykema's twisted multiplicative equation for free operator-valued random variables if and only if at least one of…
