Quantised relativistic membranes and non-perturbative checks of gauge/gravity duality
Veselin G. Filev, Denjoe O'Connor

TL;DR
This paper tests the background geometry of the BFSS model using a D4-brane probe, providing a non-perturbative check of gauge/gravity duality with results matching theoretical predictions.
Contribution
It offers a novel non-perturbative verification of gauge/gravity duality through D4-brane probe analysis in the BFSS model background.
Findings
Excellent agreement between probe results and D4-brane predictions
Validates the background geometry of the BFSS model
Supports the gauge/gravity duality hypothesis
Abstract
We test the background geometry of the BFSS model using a D4-brane probe. This proves a sensitive test of the geometry and we find excellent agreement with the D4-brane predictions based on the solution of a membrane corresponding to the D4-brane propagating on this background.
