TL;DR
This paper introduces alternative techniques for measuring the global polarization of $\\Lambda$ hyperons using event averages of momenta, demonstrating through simulations that these methods are equally effective.
Contribution
It presents new methods based on event averages in the lab frame for measuring $\\Lambda$ hyperon polarization, validated by simulation results.
Findings
All proposed methods accurately measure global polarization.
Methods are equally effective and practical for experimental application.
Simulation confirms the validity of the new measurement approaches.
Abstract
We propose alternative methods to measure the global polarization of hyperons. These methods involve event averages of proton's and 's momenta in the lab frame. We carry out simulations using these methods and show that all of them work equivalently well in obtaining the global polarization of hyperons.
